Data Recovery from a Power-Outage Damaged Toshiba Drive in Cedarburg

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

In Cedarburg, Wisconsin, data recovery became the only option after a sudden power outage left a desktop computer unable to reboot. The internal 1 TB Toshiba DT01ACA100 hard drive, which stored 76 GB of personal data — including documents, spreadsheets, videos, and scanned files — stopped responding immediately after the incident.

The customer first brought the system to Milwaukee PC, where technicians attempted to access the drive. Unfortunately, no files could be retrieved, and the drive remained inaccessible. With no backup available and important data at risk, the case was sent to WeRecoverData, the leading data recovery company.

At the WeRecoverData lab, engineers performed a full diagnostic. Power outages often damage file systems or disrupt firmware, and in this case, the drive was physically intact but had suffered logical corruption. This corruption prevented the computer from recognizing or accessing stored content.

Using advanced tools, specialists created a sector-by-sector clone of the hard drive. They then carefully rebuilt the file system and successfully recovered all 76 GB of data. Every document, video, and scanned file was restored exactly as it had been before the outage.

The data recovery was a complete success. Thanks to WeRecoverData, what could have been a permanent loss turned into a full restoration. The customer regained peace of mind — along with all of their valuable digital files.
